The stone is alive, transforms itself, adapts itself, evolves, satisfies every creative need, is able to fulfill all desires by adapting its appearance according to need, as does the water that freely deviates its course for conform to the environment.
The stone speaks, communicates, and tells new stories by wearing the best dress for every situation, like a seasoned actor who changes log to reach the heart of the public first.
Modern man struggles to understand what the stone has to say, often shows himself deaf to his language or pretends to ignore it. It does not recognize the stone, it confuses it, it mystifies it, it trades.
The Pietra Naturale Autentica Network acts as a precious interpreter to bring the two parts closer, to stimulate the rebirth of a fundamental dialogue and return to writing history with the grammar of stone.
A philological operation without nostalgic implications, but on the contrary intends to build a bridge to the future, to write new chapters of a timeless story and still narrate the fable of marble, the epic of granite and the infinite saga of natural stone.
Known and used in construction since the first millennium BC, travertine is a type of calcareous sedimentary rock that has contributed to the construction of ancient Rome. A sturdy yet extremely easy to work material, used for floors, coverings and sculptures.
Travertine, with its warm colors turning from white to brown, is mainly found in Lazio. However, some important deposits can also be found in Umbria, Tuscany and Marche. The specialization of the processing methods, the refinement of the treatments and the specific intrinsic characteristics make this material an increasingly popular choice in architecture. Additionally, its flexibility and its undeniable aesthetic qualities are also primary features.
Its typical granular texture is the quality that most identifies this intrusive igneous rock. An already explicit connotation in the name that derives from the Latin “granum” and that, together with its hardness, makes the granite a very versatile solution for decorative and construction uses.
Granite is compact, polishable and extremely resistant and for this reason is used for the realization of floors, walls and surfaces subject to wear, such as kitchen countertops or stairs.
Harder also means more difficult to work, a feature that makes granite a relatively “young” material since only the refinement of cutting and processing techniques made it suitable for construction and furnishing. A stone made to last, to maintain integrity and shine and preserve all the charm and strength over time.
The term marble comes from the Greek “marmàreos” and means “shining stone”, a single term, a single element to combine solidity and beauty, resistance and harmony. For these qualities, marble, a metamorphic rock mainly composed of calcium carbonate, is used for valuable realizations, finishes and details that must capture the eyes and the light.
Thanks to its low index of refraction, marble rise to evocative plays of reflections and transparencies. A precious and iridescent stone like a living presence able to expand the colors of the iris into an ever new palette.
